Located in close proximity of the Old Bailey and City Thames Link tunnel, this project was challenging and enthralling. The project involved demolishing of an existing 8 story office block and construction a new 4 story substation, whilst retaining an operational 2 story  underground substation, served by two underground tunnels. All works had to be co-ordinated with a new office development being constructed by Land Securities, with legal ramifications pursuant to agreed programmes and build phases

The scheme also required the replacement of 4 x 132kv Transformers, new switchgear and cabler pulling through underground tunnels.

Working alongside Ove Arup, we provided pre-contract cost planning/estimating support to ensure we remained within the business case budget, progressed the procurement event and commercially managed the scheme post contract.
